NACE International Seeks Poster Abstracts for CORROSION 2017

The research committee at NACE International is now accepting poster abstracts for corrosion-related topics at the CORROSION 2017 Conference & Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Abstracts are due by Friday, December 16, 2016. In all, NACE’s research committee will award $9,000 in total prize money to the student poster session winners at CORROSION 2017, to be held from March 26-30, 2017.

Prizes are awarded in three categories—the Mars Fontana Prize for the best posters in corrosion engineering, the Marcel Pourbaix Prize for the best posters in corrosion science, and the Harvey Herro Prize for the best posters in applied corrosion technology.

In each category, prize awards are $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place, and $500 for third place. A prize also will be awarded for the best undergraduate poster.

Besides prize money, additional incentives are also available for all session participants. These incentives include free CORROSION 2017 registration, an opportunity for financial assistance from NACE regions and sections to attend the conference, and the chance to apply for financial assistance from the NACE Foundation.

Each student who wishes to participate must submit an abstract of between 300 and 400 words by December 16, 2016. Student attendance at the conference is required to participate.

There can be only one student per poster.
