Agenda Released for 2016 Stainless Steel World Americas

The conference schedule for the upcoming 2016 Stainless Steel World Americas Conference & Expo, chaired by Fred Schweighardt from Air Liquide (Paris, France), is now available online. The schedule includes listings of all keynotes, presentations sessions, and workshops at the two-day event.

Held on November 9-10 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, each day will begin with one hour of keynote presentations covering topics of technology, testing, procurement, and distribution given by professionals from Air Liquide, Fluor (Irving, Texas), and Global Stainless Steel (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada).

Presentation sessions will focus on subjects including corrosion, duplex, technological advancements, storage tanks, nickel and nickel-based alloys, and high and low temperatures. The scheduled speakers work for companies such as ArcelorMittal (Luxembourg City, Luxembourg), Outokumpu (Espoo, Finland), Sandvik Materials Technology (Houston, Texas), Schmidt + Clemens (Houston, Texas), and Webco (Sand Springs, Oklahoma).

Workshops focused on welding, material testing, material selection, and best practices for the stainless steel industry will be led by moderators from Fluor and Technip (Île-de-France, France), who will encourage attendees to actively participate in the discussions.

The conference is officially sponsored by Schmidt + Clemens and supported by the Materials Technology Institute (St. Louis, Missouri), the Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association (Lake Zurich, Illinois), and the International Molybdenum Association (London, United Kingdom).
