American Innovations Adds External Corrosion Products from MSES

American Innovations (AI) (Austin, Texas) announced that it has acquired the external corrosion products division of MSES Consultants, Inc. (Clarksburg, West Virginia). Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

With the acquisition, AI says it will expand its catalog of survey accessories, while also integrating the resistivity meter from MSES into its MicroMax product line.

“The excellent team at American Innovations is sure to continually improve the external corrosion products formerly offered by MSES,” says Jason Rine, director of MSES Corrosion Products. “I look forward to their evolution of the products. It will provide pipeline operators with more complete solutions for corrosion prevention, while affording MSES the opportunity to focus exclusively on our suite of services and internal corrosion solutions.”

Specific additions to AI’s survey accessory catalog include test canes and survey probes, along with trays and backpacks specifically designed for the company’s Allegro Field Data PC tool.

“AI has worked very closely with MSES and Jason Rine over the years, and we've been continually impressed by his creativity and capability," says Ed Kruft, president of AI. “Jason is an extraordinary problem solver, and we look forward to taking over these products, integrating these valued accessories with our instruments, and continuing his innovative product development going forward.”

Internal corrosion products from MSES, including test kits, coupons, and a range of analytical services, were not included in the acquisition.
