Underground Corrosion Training Offered at AUCSC 2017 Event

The 62nd annual Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course (AUCSC 2017) will take place from May 9-11, 2017, at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

AUCSC offers more than 100 hours of basic, intermediate, and advanced training, including technical information about the causes and prevention of corrosion on underground structures.

Licensed professional engineers may earn professional development hours (PDH) for attending the course. Upon completion, engineers can submit proof of AUCSC completion to their state’s engineering licensing board.

A technician review course from NACE International will be made available, and AUCSC course hours may be applied towards NACE recertification requirements as well.

NACE International will also offer its NACE Corrosion Technician Exam at the event.

Detailed information and online registration is available at the AUCSC event’s web site. The pre-registration fee for the program is $150 before May 1, while the on-site registration fee is $200.
