Executive Vice President Named for Oil, Gas Engineering Division

Architecture, engineering, planning, and construction company Pond & Co. (Peachtree Corners, Georgia) has named Lorraine A. Green as executive vice president of its oil and gas division.

Green has more than 30 years of experience providing engineering and environmental consulting services to the industry, according to the company, which adds that her responsibilities will include managing the group's oil and gas team in Atlanta, Georgia, and Houston, Texas.

“Thanks to Lorraine's vision and solid leadership, her division has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years, which has helped drive our firm's economic engine,” says Tony Parker, president and CEO.

The oil and gas division includes the sectors of natural gas, midstream, fuel, corrosion control, and environmental services. The company recently opened two offices in Houston despite an overall downturn in the oil and gas sector, it explains.

“The growth that Pond is experiencing is unlike anything I've ever seen in the marketplace,” Green says. “We recently added environmental sciences services and are continuing to add new services every year, which allows us to solve all of our clients’ problems in a one-stop shop environment.”

Part of Green’s new role is to lead a team of more than 80 engineers specializing in the oil and gas market.

“This is one of the most exciting arenas in the [United States] today with the new technologies that are being applied and the new sources of energy we are finding throughout the country,” Green says. “You never do the same thing twice, and that is very exciting after 30 years.”
