NACE International to Host Pipeline Integrity Management Seminar in Peru

Rapid population growth and the need for reliable energy has prompted many Latin American governments to make major investments in pipeline networks, and comprehensive risk mitigation strategies can be essential to protect that infrastructure.

To address this need, NACE International is hosting its Pipeline Integrity Management Seminar (PIMS) in Lima, Peru, from November 15-17, 2017. The event, presented in both Spanish and English with translators at each session, will bring together pipeline managers, engineers, operators, regulatory authorities, pipeline engineering instructors, and risk consulting personnel from Central and South America.

Operators, authorizers, and providers from Latin America will discuss how to implement and improve pipeline integrity—a vital aspect of engineering that focuses on optimal preventative actions to detect and mitigate risk.

Speakers will also address how the implementation of pipeline integrity programs can increase safety, environmental protection, and reliable service, as well as maximize profits for the distribution of oil, gas, and refined hydrocarbons.

Session topics are scheduled to include pipeline integrity management using risk models, geotechnical threats, corrosion monitoring and control, data integration in risk models, and more. For more information on the conference, including how to register, visit the PIMS web site.
