In addition to traditional events, the third annual University Student Design and Applied Solutions Competition (
USDASC) will make its CORROSION debut in 2018. The competition challenges university and military student teams to design and build an autonomous system for corrosion inspection and detection in hard-to-access areas. Each team will give a 20-min oral presentation on its design and system overview to the judging panel prior to testing their solution on a steel structure.
All CORROSION attendees will have the opportunity to watch the USDASC event live as a spectator in the stands.
