Abstracts Deadline Extended for High Temperature Corrosion Mitigation Event

NACE International has extended the deadline for abstracts at its new High Temperature Corrosion Mitigation in Energy Sectors Conference on May 9-10, 2018, at the Holiday Inn Krakow City Center in Krakow, Poland.

The new deadline to submit abstracts is December 20, 2017. Topics include advanced materials at high temperatures for future power energy systems; steam oxidation of advanced steels and nickel-based alloys; fireside corrosion; power plant water chemistry and corrosion; turbine corrosion and erosion; coatings in energy sector; high-entropy materials; and new horizons.

At the event, panelists will discuss how to combat the degradation of facilities caused by corrosion while implementing the European Union’s (EU) energy market legislation and new regulations. This event is projected to bring together industry leaders from energy companies throughout the EU.

“The EU’s push for emissions reduction poses unique challenges to energy markets,” event organizers say. “Energy suppliers and operators must use more efficient materials and invest in new technologies, while still utilizing aging facilities and transmission and distribution systems.”
