Abstract Deadline Nears for NACE Corrosion Risk Management Conference

The extended deadline to submit abstracts for this year’s NACE Corrosion Risk Management Conference is Friday, January 19.

Abstracts are currently being accepted for full papers on pipelines, including regulations and hot topics; facilities, both downstream and upstream; and infrastructure, comprised of bridges and concrete structures.

Those who submit abstracts will be notified of their acceptance into the program by February 1. From there, the deadlines for draft paper submissions, full paper submissions, and presentations are March 1, April 1, and May 25, respectively.

Risk management has become an important requirement in many industries and is a critical tool for modern corrosion and materials engineers, event organizers explain. As such, conference presentations are designed to help industry participants understand how to best address all related challenges, given the complexity of the material degradation process.

The conference, which brings together leaders in corrosion mitigation, is organized by NACE International and will be held from June 11-13, 2018, at the Houston Marriott Westchase in Houston, Texas.
