NACE International Announces 2018 U.S. Legislative Day

NACE International has announced May 23-24, 2018, as the dates of its annual legislative day, aimed at informing representatives in the U.S. Congress (Washington, DC, USA) of the group’s mission to protect people, assets, and the environment from the adverse effects of corrosion.

Registration for the event is free, and all NACE International members are invited and encouraged to attend, according to event organizers. The registration deadline is May 10, 2018.

“Now more than ever before, every member of Congress needs to understand how important corrosion control is to public safety and to the U.S. economy,” the group says in a statement.

Events include an annual reception with the U.S. Corrosion Prevention Caucus, with both policymakers and regulators present. Attendees will hear an update on the status of policies and legislation affecting businesses and professionals in the corrosion industry.

Those in attendance for the legislative day will also be able to meet with appropriate U.S. regulators and can take advantage of the opportunity to network with other NACE members.

Prospective attendees can register on NACE’s official web page for the event. Hotel recommendations and a complete agenda will be posted soon on that page, according to event organizers.
