Conference Examines Use of Coatings in High-Temperature Facilities

NACE International’s annual “Bring on the Heat” conference is slated for June 5-7, 2018, in Houston, Texas, featuring a unique look at how coatings are used in facilities with high-temperature infrastructure.

The conference brings over 250 attendees each year, which include coatings applicators, contractors, inspectors, specifiers, engineers, and manufacturers from more than 25 countries and representing more than 260 companies.

These companies include leading coating manufacturers, contractors, and inspection groups, as well as engineering firms and end users from major oil and gas operators.

In the technical program, high-temperature coatings experts are slated to give numerous presentations on topics including intumescent, cementitious, and light-weight cementitious options for passive fire protection (PFP); corrosion mechanisms, types of corrosion, effects of ions, different generic insulations, and coatings for the prevention of corrosion under insolation (CUI); and thermally sprayed coating options such as thermal spray aluminum, thermal spray zinc, and galvanizing for use in CUI and PFP operations.

Meanwhile, a special highlight of the 2018 show is a “Demo Day” at PK Industrial’s nearby fireproofing and specialty coatings facility in Jacinto City, Texas, where attendees can view live product and service demonstrations from participating companies.

Advance registration discounts are available through May 4. For more information, visit the event web site.
