The complete technical program is now available for the NACE Corrosion Risk Management Conference, to be held from June 11-13, 2018, at the Houston Marriott Westchase in Houston, Texas, USA.

Risk management has become an important requirement in many industries and is a critical tool for modern corrosion and materials engineers, event organizers explain. As such, conference presentations are designed to help industry participants understand how to best address all related challenges, given the complexity of the material degradation process.

The Corrosion Risk Management Conference brings together experts from a wide range of industries and related companies to share knowledge and best practices in corrosion risk management, with 35 presentations planned across three unique tracks.

In the downstream and upstream facilities track, presentation highlights include best practices using new technologies for advanced corrosion control, as well as corrosion risk management of corrosion-resistant alloys (CRAs) for downhole applications.

In the bridges and concrete infrastructure program, topics range from concrete field corrosion testing utilizing multiple tools to the effect of durability and corrosion behavior on concrete treated with chemical inhibitor.

Finally, in the pipeline regulations and hot topics track, presentation highlights include the risk characterization of concealed piping and lessons learned from the cathodic protection of subsea systems.

According to event organizers, the conference is geared toward attendees in fields such as integrity managers; risk assessment specialists; engineers responsible for plant integrity or maintenance; management looking to develop or advanced their risk management strategy; and consultants, researchers, and scientists responsible for managing corrosion and degradation challenges.

Discounted advance registration pricing is available through May 1, 2018. For more information on the conference and to register, visit the event web site.
