Coating Systems Company to Expand Texas Production Plant

Axalta Coating Systems (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) announced the 30,000 ft2 (2,787.1 m2) expansion of its production facility in Jacksonville, Texas, USA.

The expansion is slated to be completed in the first quarter of 2019 and will increase the company’s annual liquid industrial coatings production capacity in North America by ~1,000,000 gal.

The Jacksonville plant has experienced continued growth over the past year, the company explains, emerging as one of its most efficient and productive manufacturing plants.

The plant specializes in waterborne, solvent-based industrial coatings that are low in volatile organic compounds, in addition to an array of other high-performance products.

“We’re enthusiastic about the continued investment and development in the site’s manufacturing and formulation capabilities,” says David Heflin, vice president of the company’s global industrial coating systems business. “This expansion will allow our team to continue to deliver high volume and world class solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers.”
