Corrosion protection materials company Sauereisen, Inc. (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA) announced that Michael J. Briglia was promoted to the position of associate materials scientist.

Working from the company’s corporate headquarters, his responsibilities include new product development, contractor training, technical assistance, inspections on job sites throughout the United States, and in-house quality control testing.

Briglia began his career with the company in 2015 as an internal laboratory technician after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. degree in chemistry and biology.

During his time with the company, Briglia has advanced his knowledge of coating and lining systems by completing NACE International’s Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 1 and CIP Level 2.
