Gibbs previously served as president and chief operating officer of Gulf Bayport Chemicals LP (Pasadena, Texas, USA) for 14 years.

In March 2018, MFG acquired Gulf Bayport and its 25-acre chemical manufacturing plant in Pasadena. Immediately following the acquisition, Gibbs was tasked with handling the integration of the newly acquired company and plant into its new parent organization.

Prior to Gulf Bayport, Gibbs served in senior executive management positions within the energy industry, and before that as audit manager at Arthur Andersen.

“We are very happy to have such a seasoned executive as Dana Gibbs on [our] team,” says Keith Arnold, CEO of MFG Chemical and a member of the board of governors at SOCMA (Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates).

“He will ensure continuity and efficiency with the supply chain from the Pasadena plant, which he knows so well having run it for years,” Arnold adds. “And given his executive experience, Dana will also make great contributions in corporate planning.”

Gibbs says he looks forward to increasing the company’s supply chain efficiency and assisting in the planning of its future growth.

The company serves global markets such as agriculture, asphalt, graphic arts, lubricants, mining, oilfield, paints and coatings, personal care, pulp and paper, and water treatment. In all, it operates a combined four manufacturing facilities in Pasadena and at its Northwest Georgia headquarters.
