Created in 2014, “The Official Elcometer Channel” contains a full range of technical training videos to help users of the company’s products learn how to best use their equipment and achieve different international standards.

As of August 2019, the company had 3,200 dedicated subscribers and more than 1,500,000 minutes of content watched in total. Topics covered include dry film thickness inspection, adhesion testing, low-voltage pinhole and high-voltage porosity inspection, ultrasonic nondestructive testing, and Elcometer’s new range of abrasive blast equipment.

“It is incredible to think there are potentially half a million people around the world who have viewed our technical videos,” says Dan Carrington, manager of the channel.

“It just goes to show how big the industry is, and how seriously inspectors take their jobs,” he adds. “We firmly believe in training and support, and our technical videos allow Elcometer users to have expert advice at their fingertips—even when out on site. That’s why we will continue to upload new technical videos on a regular basis. Although all videos are presented in English, in order to support customers around the world, we provide subtitles in up to 20 different languages.”
