MFG Chemical Names New Oil and Gas Vice President

In addition to driving top-line sales growth, Haggerty will be in charge of shaping the group’s strategy, optimizing its product portfolio, and developing a robust pipeline. Tim will work out of MFG Chemical’s new sales office in Houston, Texas, USA.

According to the company, Haggerty is industry expert with 34 years of experience in business development with both upstream and downstream experience in oil and gas and specialty chemicals. Before joining MFG in 2017, he has worked with Nalco Chemical, Shell Chemical, Halliburton, and Shrieve Chemical.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University (Starkville, Mississippi, USA), and is a longtime Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the American Association of Drilling Engineers.

That’s why we have promoted Tim, completed a multi-million-dollar upgrading of our Pasadena, Texas plant, are opening a new sales office in Houston, and assigning additional staff to better serve the business.”

MFG describes itself as a specialty and custom chemical manufacturer for a variety of global markets, including agriculture, asphalt, graphic arts, lubricants, mining, oilfield, paints and coatings, personal care, pulp and paper, and water treatment. The company operates four manufacturing facilities in Northwest Georgia and Pasadena, Texas, with strong product development capabilities.

Key chemistries include dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinates (DOSS), water soluble polymers, rheology modifiers, amides, esters, imidazolines, surfactants, and specialty anhydrides. In addition, the ISO 9001-certified company received two previous SOCMA awards for plant safety and process efficiency.
