MOBILTEX Names Harkins as New Director of Business Development

MOBILTEX (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) has appointed Peter Harkins to the newly established role of director of business development, the company announced in an email press release.

As director of business development, Harkins will develop a regional strategy and support initiatives for client management and acquisition. Additionally, he will focus on broadening MOBILTEX’s US market presence as a leading provider of industrial internet of things (IIoT) hardware and software for cathodic protection and pipeline integrity remote monitoring,

“Peter is an excellent addition to our Sales Team here at MOBILTEX, and brings an impressive range of skills and experience,” says MOBILTEX CEO Marc Bracken. “Peter will spearhead projects underway to work more closely with our existing clients and the many exciting new opportunities that we are focusing on with our expanding product and solutions portfolio. We’re also looking forward to him sharing his experience and knowledge with the management group and the wider staff complement as well.”

Harkins is an experienced and respected figure in the corrosion industry with over 20 years with Tinker Rasor as general manager. In that role, Harkins led the electronics manufacturing company in supplying corrosion control instrumentation to expanding global markets. He also worked as a business office manager with Total Finance Group and as a general manager for Keyway Inc.

Harkins’s educational background includes degrees in history from California State University – Long Beach and the University of Southern California. His extensive volunteer experience includes sitting on the Board of Directors of NACE International (now AMPP) from 2014 to 2017.
