SMARTCOAT (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) has officially met the documentary and auditing criteria of the NIICAP (NACE International Institute Contractor Accreditation Program) AS-1 Shop and AS-1 Field designations, making them the first company in South America to do so. The accreditations were obtained in April 2020.

Specializing in blasting, hydroblasting, and industrial painting services, SMARTCOAT is a subsidiary of PRINER S.A (PRNR3) and has operated since 1997 in the Brazilian onshore and offshore industrial market.

The contractor’s work includes marine platforms, oil tankers, shipyards and oil and gas terminals. Its clients include Petrobras, Transpetro, Equinor, Modec, Technip/FMC, and BW OffShore and Wood Group, among others.

This certification is an important milestone for the Priner Group, which comprises Priner Serviços Industriais, Priner Rental, and Isolafácil in addition to SMARTCOAT. The groups were audited related to business practices, staff availability, training practices, availability of equipment, and the company’s background.

SMARTCOAT is located in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro and occupies an area of 11,000 square meters, which includes manual and semi-automatic painting and turbine blasting cabins. The campus also includes a hangar for equipment maintenance, administrative support buildings, a training room, a refectory, and a paint analysis laboratory.

The NACE Institute congratulates SMARTCOAT and The Priner Group on the achievement and dedication to further organizational development.
