HOBAS Pipe USA Inc. (HPUSA) (Houston, Texas, USA) is nearing completion of a major capital project at its Houston-based facility, the company announced in an emailed press release. The existing HOBAS site was increased to just under 30 acres of land, and the company has added 32,000 square-foot (2,972.9 m2) building dedicated to the production of its fully structural, Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Non-Circular Pipe product line.

Sold both internationally and in North America, this non-circular FRP pipe is for the rehabilitation of non-circular shapes designed to carry sewer or storm water. As the only USA-based company producing structural FRP non-circular shapes, HOBAS will add more than 25 new jobs once the facility is fully operational in 2021.

HOBAS FRP pipe is manufactured to the highest quality standards and can meet a wide range of applications. A computer-controlled manufacturing process produces consistent, high quality pipes that can be custom-shaped in both circular and non-circular sizes. Different pipe shapes and wall thicknesses can be produced and manufactured to meet site specific design requirements.

HOBAS has 35 years of water and wastewater industry experience to address new and ageing critical infrastructure across North America with cost-effective products and innovative solutions.
