Axalta Names Global Industrial Coatings Head

Coatings manufacturer Axalta (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) announced that Shelley Bausch will join the company as senior vice president of its global industrial coatings division. Bausch will officially begin her duties on January 1, 2021.

“Shelley is an outstanding business leader with extensive experience in industrial products and coatings. She will lead our current Industrial Coatings businesses globally, which include energy solutions, coil, wood, general industrial and powder coatings, and drive expansion into new industrial coatings markets,” says Robert W. Bryant, Axalta's president and CEO. “Shelley is a dynamic leader with experience managing complex product portfolios sold into diverse and fragmented industrial end markets. She is a valuable addition to our team, and I'm confident she will drive growth in our existing as well as new end-markets.”

Before joining Axalta, Bausch worked for Carlisle Companies Inc. (Scottsdale, Arizona, USA) led the Asia Pacific region and the fluid technologies business unit. Prior to that, she led the industrial coatings business for PPG (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA) from 2014 to 2017, and spent 25 years at Dow Corning Corporation (Midland, Michigan, USA) in a variety of senior management and commercial roles. In addition, she currently serves on the board of directors of the Kraton Corporation (Houston, Texas, USA).

In addition, Axalta recently announced that Jeremy Rohen, formerly of W.R. Grace & Co. (Columbia, Maryland, USA) will also be joining the company effective January 18, 2021. In his new role as senior vice president of strategy and business development, Rohen will report to Bryant.

“Jeremy will lead our enterprise strategy development and mergers and acquisitions function globally and work with our global business leaders to identify potential partnerships, acquisitions and alternative strategies to drive Axalta's future growth,” says Bryant. “Jeremy is a world-class M&A leader with experience in transformative deals and has a strong background in strategy development. He will work closely with our business leadership to accelerate growth and will be a great addition to our leadership team.”
