Kennedy Space Center Hosts AMPP Chapter Meeting in Florida

In March 2024, the AMPP Central Florida Chapter—in collaboration with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) personnel—hosted a chapter meeting at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Merritt Island, Florida, USA.

As part of the meeting, KSC’s corrosion engineers provided a brief history of corrosion at NASA’s KSC, and they shared some of their recent challenges related to the reuse of launch support equipment.

The team then took members on a personal tour of the beachside test site. Courtesy of the AMPP Central Florida Chapter, here’s a collage of tour photos.

“We are extremely proud, and grateful, to have been able to provide this amazing opportunity to Florida AMPP members,” says Stephanie Decker, an active member volunteer, chapter leader, and a Florida-based business development manager for North America at Tinker & Rasor.
