Texas A&M to Offer Master of Engineering Technical Management Program

Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas) will offer a new online master’s degree program beginning in the fall of 2018. The Master of Engineering Technical Management (METM) is a 21-month, part-time, online program designed for working professionals.

The METM curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of engineering and technical professionals looking to transition into project management. Classes will be taught by veteran industry professionals and professors with industry experience, the school explains.

Courses will focus on business concepts—such as data-driven decision making, project management, and new product development—while building a foundation in leadership and emotional intelligence.

METM students will begin each year by spending one week in residency in College Station. Throughout that week, they will work directly alongside faculty, hear from guest speakers, and create a lifelong network. Students will also complete the program in College Station by presenting a year-long capstone project to faculty and classmates before participating in graduation ceremonies.
