NACE International will host its new High Temperature Corrosion Mitigation in Energy Sectors Conference on May 9-10, 2018, at the Holiday Inn Krakow City Center in Krakow, Poland.

At the event, panelists will discuss how to combat the degradation of facilities caused by corrosion while implementing the European Union’s (EU) energy market legislation and new regulations. This event is projected to bring together industry leaders from energy companies throughout the EU.

“The EU’s push for emissions reduction poses unique challenges to energy markets,” event organizers say. “Energy suppliers and operators must use more efficient materials and invest in new technologies, while still utilizing aging facilities and transmission and distribution systems.”

The event is expected to bring ~100 leaders from across Europe involved in various energy sectors.

In addition to registration, NACE is also currently accepting abstracts for the conference. Topics include advanced materials at high temperatures for future power energy systems; steam oxidation of advanced steels and nickel-based alloys; fireside corrosion; power plant water chemistry and corrosion; turbine corrosion and erosion; coatings in energy sector; high-entropy materials; and new horizons.

The deadline to submit an abstract is December 1, 2017.
