Architectural and industrial coatings manufacturer Tnemec Company, Inc. (Kansas City, Missouri, USA) recently announced the acquisition of coatings company ProPolymer Coatings (St. Louis, Missouri, USA). Through this acquisition, Tnemec is able to access ProPolymer’s line of tank linings, exterior coatings, and containment products.

“Tnemec and the ProPolymer team are both excited about this endeavor,” says Tnemec President Chase Bean. “We believe in the quality of ProPolymer Coatings and we look forward to offering their innovative technology to new and current customers.”

Bean adds that the ProPolymer products will strengthen Tnemec’s line of protective coatings and linings, while Tnemec’s resources and knowledge base will add value to the ProPolymer customer experience.

Formulated to withstand chemical attack, ProPolymer coatings are commonly used on steel and concrete substrates in various industry-specific plants across the U.S. Products offered by the company include high-performance vinyl ester linings, secondary containment products for industrial processing, polymer concrete materials for thermal shock and chemical resistance, and high-build, surface-tolerant epoxy coatings.

ProPolymer products will now be produced at Tnemec’s Kansas City facilities, and sold through the company’s sales representatives in both the domestic and international markets.
