NACE International member Jorge J. Perdomo is set to become a 2019 recipient of the Counselor Award Class of 2019 by the American Welding Society (AWS) (Miami, Florida, USA).
Perdomo, who works with Motiva Enterprises LLC (Houston, Texas, USA), is being recognized for a career of distinguished organizational leadership that has enhanced the image and impact of the welding industry, AWS explains.
He is also being honored for his significant achievements of outstanding accomplishment in the technical and research arenas that have enhanced the image and impact of the welding industry.
The awards ceremony will take place at the AWS annual meeting to be held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, on November 11. The event coincides with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the AWS Foundation.
Perdomo has been a NACE member since 2001 and holds a B.S. degree in metallurgy from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela, and a Ph.D. in metallurgy from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
